“Because God stands right next to the needy, to save them from any who would condemn them.”– ‭Psalms‬ ‭109:31‬ ‭CEB‬‬

The naysayers, the condemners, the accusers, are out there. We can tell ourselves over and over again that, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.”, but the truth is words have the power to build up and tear down.

My challenge,  when life gets rough and the naysayers are in full effect, is to not take their words to heart. I’m guessing it’s a challenge for most of us.

If you listen to our detractors for to long, it can feel like your drowning.  It’s in that exact moment, I want you to remember that God loves you no matter what.

We all need to be reminded from time to time of the words of Dr. Rudy Featherstone, “God don’t make no junk.”

If you feel like you are drowning in it today, hold on to God’s hand.  Know that you are loved.

Prayer: God, sometimes others actions and words seem to chip away at our souls and wear us down, remind us of your love – Your all the time, no matter what, unconditional love.  Amen.
