Some days I need my perspective reoriented. God has put some amazing people in my life that help me do that. Digging daily into scripture, God’s word helps me do that as well. In this passage from scripture today, I am reminded that all I have is not mine, but a gift, a favor, a blessing, a grace from God. This psalm is from King David, giving thanks for God’s favor, and proclaiming his dedication as a servant of the Lord.
Protect me, God, because I take refuge in you. I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord. Apart from you, I have nothing good.”
You, Lord, are my portion, my cup; you control my destiny. The property lines have fallen beautifully for me; yes, I have a lovely home. (Psalms 16:1-2, 5-6 CEB)
My home, my family, my friends are all a blessing from the Lord, and so are yours. Take two minutes (or more) and say a prayer of thanks for the blessings in your life.
Prayer: Lord, thank you. All I have is a gift by your grace. I give you thanks for spend two minutes filling in this blank. Amen
