God has truly blessed me. Forgiveness, and the Lord knows I need a lot of it. Grace, because I could never be good enough. Love, well, just because that’s how the Lord rolls.
We didn’t know it when we bought this house, but the view of the sunset, unless it’s totally blocked by the clouds is spectacular. It reminds me everyday is a gift from God.
From family to friends, to the opportunity of living in or near the marshes and wetlands, the beach, the mountains, to the farmlands in my first four decades, God has truly blessed me.
I could go on, but this isn’t about me, it’s about God, and being thankful for all that the Lord has done for us. King David put it this way in a song:
8 Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name;
make his deeds known to all people! 1 Chronicles 16:8 (CEB)
What has God done for you? (Regularly asking yourself this question will help keep life in perspective.) Who are you going to tell? David reminds us that we are to make God’s deeds know to all people.
Share what God has done for you (God’s deeds) in the comments.
Prayer: Lord, your works are marvelous throughout the earth. Give me eyes to see your work, a heart that appreciates it, hands and feet that join it, and lips to proclaim it. Amen.
